Ingredients
  

Batter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional
Brioche
  • 8 slices brioche bread thickly sliced
Toppings
  • maple syrup to taste
  • powdered sugar for dusting
  • fresh berries for garnish optional

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Cook the French Toast
  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  2. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  3. Place the soaked brioche slices onto the hot frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Serve the French toast warm, topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries if desired.
