Ingredients
  

Herbs and Aromatics
  • 1 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
Liquids
  • 1/2 cup olive oil extra virgin recommended
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Finely chop the parsley and cilantro, and mince the garlic.
Mix the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped herbs, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice to the bowl.
  3. Whisk everything together until well combined.
Taste and Adjust
  1. Taste the chimichurri and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or vinegar to taste.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately or let it sit for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
