Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

A delicious and quick pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, tossed with spaghetti and garnished with parsley.

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti
Shrimp
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
Sauce
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Shrimp
  1. In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
Combine
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the shrimp. Pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley. Toss everything together until well combined.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can substitute half of the butter with olive oil.
