Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup water to help blend spices
Taco Assembly
  • 8 count corn tortillas or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup sour cream for topping
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional

Method
 

Prepare the Beef
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary, then add salt, black pepper, taco seasoning, and water. Stir to combine.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  2. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños as desired.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
