Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream Chilled
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Chilled
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla extract preferred
Optional Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips Or any preferred mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts Optional
  • 1/2 cup Fruit Puree Optional

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to chill.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Add Mix-ins and Freeze
  1. If using, add chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit puree during the last few minutes of churning.
  2. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
