Ingredients

Marinade and Dressing
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 4 pcs green onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

Equipment

  • grill
  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • whisk

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Marinate the flank steak by mixing soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, honey, and sriracha in a bowl. Add the steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. While the steak marinates, cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove excess marinade from the steak and sear for about six minutes per side or until desired doneness. Let rest before slicing.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, sriracha, and salt to create the spicy sesame dressing.
  5. Assemble bowls with cooked rice on the bottom, topped with sliced flank steak and spicy sesame dressing.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
