Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats quick or old-fashioned
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the honey, milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
  6. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
  7. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let the scones cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
