- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
- Divide batter between prepared pans; bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cakes cool, whip together softened butter, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until fluffy.
- Once cooled, layer cakes with frosting in between and cover the entire cake with remaining frosting.
