Ingredients
  

Beef and Vegetables
  • 1 pound flank steak sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced (mixed colors: red, green, yellow)
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. Slice the bell peppers and onion, and mince the garlic and ginger.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Set aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the beef strips and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
  1. In the same wok, add garlic, ginger, onion, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine and Serve
  1. Return the beef to the wok, add the sauce, and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  2. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
