Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dry rub together.
  4. Rub the dry mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and place them on the grill.
  2. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, maintaining a steady temperature.
  3. Unwrap the ribs and brush with barbecue sauce.
  4. Grill for an additional 30 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more sauce.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Cut between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes
