  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup candy-coated chocolates

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture without overmixing. Fold in chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolates.
  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly soft. Allow cooling on baking sheets before transferring to plates.
